Will she handle with care

Will she handle with care Now that I'm older Lonely nights growing colder What’s left of my life What remains of it? Should I surrender, give up the fight Let the emptiness take What’s left in the light And darken it? Or should I still try to find her Someone near to my age? Ask her to join me On this lonely stage? But what if I find her In that stack of hay? Could I still love her In my weary way? Will she handle with care My heart and my skin See all that is broken And still let me in? So much left unspoken In silence kept safe Could she still care for me With love and with grace? How do we match Our fragile histories? How do we catch Each other’s pain? And when we make love Without any claim What name will I whisper In rapture or shame? Will our fading lights guide us Through the shadows we face Will the life that lies behind us Open our embrace?

The dark sea between us

She said: thank you so much, dear For all of your love But I can no longer stay here It’s still not enough There’s no real explanation But I need to feel free I’m not misbehaving Just in love now with me I said: you don’t have to leave me While searching for you Please try to believe me I’m searching you too We can do this together Like we always have done I can love you forever There’s no need to run And then we fell silent With nothing to say Back to our own island Both sailing away The dark sea between us Its waves make no sense The stormy wind feels just Far too intense

Morning Blues

Well I woke up this morning guess that’s no breaking news Made my way to the bakery where they sell orange juice Now I know it ain’t common for a bakery it’s rare but for them it’s no problem and I like being there Still, so far so good Just a drink and some food But back at my doorstep Girl, there you stood Didn’t I tell you so many times before I don’t want you here, don’t want you no more I told you so many, so many times before Stay away from my door girl, stay away from my door So next time I wake up With the morning light I’ll be peeking through the curtains See if you’re in my sight ‘Cause I can’t keep fighting this war inside Between what I feel and my wounded pride. No I can’t keep fighting, it tears me apart Between loving your soul and guarding my heart No I can’t keep fighting this war inside Between what I feel and my wounded pride I cant’t keep fighting, it tears me apart Between loving your soul and guarding my heart My heart My heart My heart My heart

I Remember

I remember pure justice I remember pure wisdom From before I was born From somewhere nearby I remember this pure form This form of existence When I was not yet born Just standing by And yes I remember While my heartbeat slows down And the king of my kingdom Is now losing his crown And an unborn child is singing This final song with me About a new beginning Lighting up the sunset sea And I remember I remember And then I came alive In my own entity Learned how to survive Find my identity I learned about truth I learned about lies I learned how to lose When I opened my eyes And yes I remember While my heartbeat slows down And the king of my kingdom Is now losing his crown And an unborn child is singing This final song with me About a new beginning Lighting up the sunset sea And I remember I remember Now I was lucky My cradle was safe No war and no hunger In a fine sheltered place In the bath with my ducky The water was warm Then a drive in my buggy My house stood firm in every storm And yes I remember While my heartbeat slows down And the king of my kingdom Is now losing his crown And an unborn child is singing This final song with me About a new beginning Lighting up the sunset sea And I remember I remember I remember pure justice I remember pure wisdom From before I was born From somewhere nearby I remember this pure form This form of existence When I was not yet born Just standing by And I surrender I surrender I surrender I surrender

No label

All I’m asking: don’t you label me I’m begging you please don’t do that to me You’re not here to weigh me so let me be I’m just who I am and you get what you see You see 3 x I’m not too young and I’m not too old Still holding strong, or so I’m told No wise man, nor a fool I can be anxious or I can be cool I might be straight or I might be gay Just let me live in my own way I might stay or I might call it a day But don’t you judge me that’s all I say You mean the world to me Yet I am still free And maybe I’ll feel lonely now That’s just me So let me be And soon you will see It’s not so bad at all to be with me It’s not so bad at all to be with me It’s not so bad at all to be with me It’s not so bad at all to be with me You see 4 x Well I’m no bad guy and I’m no saint Certainly no narcissist, oh no I ain’t Call me what you like if it’s meant to tease But don’t you judge me I’m begging you please You mean the world to me Yet I am still free And maybe I’ll feel lonely now That’s just me So let me be And soon you will see It’s not so bad at all to be with me It’s not so bad at all to be with me I might be straight or I might be gay Just let me live in my own way I might stay or I might call it a day But don’t you judge me, that’s all I say You mean the world to me Yet I am still free And maybe I’ll feel lonely now That’s just me So let me be And soon you will see It’s not so bad at all to be with me It’s not so bad at all to be with me It’s not so bad at all!

Meant to be

I was dancing at a single’s party Meeting new faces just saying hi When suddenly I saw out of the corner of my eye A woman so confident and so far from shy She smiled at me, smiled at me Bathed in a ray of golden light Not that I suddenly felt sixteen once more Time had worked it’s magic, that’s for sure But I knew what this moment could mean to me It could live on forever as our first memory So I walked up to her Asked have we met before A question quite silly But I couldn’t recall for sure She laughed oh she laughed and said “Don’t you think you’d remember me?” And in that moment I knew with certainty She was the one I was meant to see Not that I suddenly felt sixteen once more Time had worked it’s magic, that’s for sure But I knew what this moment could mean to me It could live on forever as our first memory So we danced through the night Moved just a little closer Everything felt so right As if my loneliness was over And when the DJ played his final song Just for you and me I felt it deep and strong This was meant to be! Not that I suddenly felt sixteen once more Time had worked it’s magic, that’s for sure But I knew what this moment could mean to me It could live on forever as our first memory Suddenly felt sixteen once more Time had worked it’s magic, that’s for sure But I knew what this moment could mean to me It could live on forever as our first memory It could live on forever as our first memory
